CELEBRATING OUTSTANDING MENTORS AND ADVOCATES

These Bigs are the brightest examples of what it means to be a mentor, advocate, and lifelong champion for youth.

Florida’s Bigs of the Year step up in powerful ways, using their voices, their stories, and their actions to advance the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters across the state. Being named a Big of the Year is a tremendous honor and a moment of deep pride, recognizing the lasting difference these mentors make in the lives of their Littles and the impact their Littles, in turn, have on them.

Bigs of the Year are more than just great mentors, they are true ambassadors of the Big Brothers Big Sisters mission. These individuals not only build life-changing relationships with their Littles, but also give back by recruiting new Bigs, serving on committees, donating, and sharing the power of mentorship in their communities.

Each year, they’re invited to represent our statewide network at the Big Impact Legislative Summit in Tallahassee and are recognized at the Big Brothers Big Sisters Association of Florida Conference. Their leadership and stories inspire our movement and drive change across the state.

Florida’s Bigs of the Year also have the opportunity to be nominated for the National Big Brothers Big Sisters of America Big of the Year Award, a prestigious honor that highlights the most exceptional mentors across the country.
