Florida’s First Statewide Recruitment Campaign is Here!

October 1–31, 2025

This October, Big Brothers Big Sisters Association of Florida is launching our first-ever statewide recruitment campaign to recruit more Big Brothers and Big Sisters across all 11 markets we serve — from the Panhandle to the Florida Keys. With the incredible support of our partners, we aim to reduce the number of youth waiting for a mentor, which continues to be our greatest challenge.

This campaign is made possible through the generosity of ALDI, who provided a grant to help our agencies focus on recruitment — the area of greatest need. Inspired by BBBS America and their national coverage promoting mentorship, we reached out to partners who already believe in our mission to amplify this effort.

With the guidance of BBBS America staff, we partnered with Clear Channel Outdoor and Atmosphere TV to create a comprehensive campaign that ensures coverage across the entire state. From billboards to TVs in popular local spots, we are bringing the message of mentorship directly to communities statewide.

Our campaign also appears in 388 venues statewide, including Youfit, Beef O’Brady’s, BJ’s Restaurants, Ale House, Duffy’s Sports Grill, Hooters, Hurricanes Grill & Wings, PDQ, Anytime Fitness, Texas Roadhouse, Tijuana Flats, and many more. These placements were chosen to align with our greatest area of need: recruiting more male mentors for the largest population waiting — young boys who need a positive male role model. By placing our message in venues that attract adult men, we hope to connect with potential mentors who can step up and make a lasting difference in a child’s life.

Why This Campaign Matters

With this statewide campaign running from October 1–31, our goal is to reduce the waitlist of youth waiting for a mentor. By engaging adults across Florida and encouraging them to become Big Brothers and Big Sisters, we can create lasting impacts on children, families, and communities. Every billboard and screen brings us closer to our vision: a mentor for every child who needs one.
